The research

His artistic research crosses the Milanese cultural scene of the 1970s and 1980s, characterised by the avantgarde and artistic individualities of those years. In this way he approached painting, on the one hand of abstract-informal ascendancy, on the other of neo-expressionist or neo-primitivist derivation. In the following years, his work is proposed as a journey into the complex system of visual communication, the memory of primary signs became writing, a fundamental component also in his research on ceramics, characterised by the study of forms, colours and techniques typical of the famous ateliers of the Amalfi Coast, maintaining a strong link with his homeland. In recent years he has been to China several times, where he has given conferences and meetings on Italian art, and he has also focused on sculpture, creating “contemporary archaeology” dominated by the dialogue between material and colour.
